Hockey Pucks and Missiles.

Cory Eikelenboom, a recent graduate from the Construction Engineering Technology program at Niagara College and now Field Engineer at Rankin Construction, had a once in a lifetime opportunity. 

Here’s a photo of Cory with former professional NHL star Guy Lafleur holding a 155mm High Explosive round. Behind them is an M777 Howitzer, which Cory manned as an artilleryman for 8 months in Kandahar, Afghanistan with the 2^nd Royal Canadian Horse Artillery.

While in Afghanistan, Guy Lafleur and other famous Canadians visited Cory’s Forward Operating Base as VIP guests.  Cory currently serves as a reserve soldier with 10 Battery, 56 Field Regiment in St.Catharines.
