The Ripley Wind Power Project was constructed in 2007 around the town of Ripley using the strong wind resource coming from the eastern edge of Lake Huron. The project made use of the first Enercon E82 2.0MW wind turbines in Canada and consisted of 38 turbines for a total capacity of 76MW.
Scope of Services:
Rankin Construction performed the civil works for the Ripley Wind Power project including:
• Complete foundation including excavation forming rebar and concrete (Enercon)
• Embedment of tower base section (Enercon)
• Foundation for transformer substation (K-Line)
