St. Teresa of Calcutta Elementary School Parking Lot

In the summer of 2023, Rankin was contracted by the Niagara Catholic District School Board to complete the reconstruction of the St. Teresa of Calcutta Elementary School parking lot in St. Catharines, ON. The scope of work involved the complete reconstruction of a parking lot, beginning with the removal of the existing asphalt surface. Excavation was carried out to reach the new subgrade elevation, followed by the placement and grading of new stone to establish a solid base. Concrete curbs and sidewalks were poured to define pedestrian and vehicular boundaries, and landscaping and fencing were added to enhance the site’s appearance and security. Catch basins were adjusted to match the final grade, ensuring proper drainage. The parking lot was then paved with new asphalt, and line painting was completed to clearly mark parking spaces and traffic flow. The project was completed during the summer closure period and finalized ahead of schedule to ensure the site was fully ready for the start of the school year.
