Pre-Arrival Readiness Evaluation
The Pre‑Arrival Readiness Evaluation (PARE) building at the Peace Bridge accelerates truck crossings into the United States.
Content
The Peace Bridge is a major border crossing between Canada and the United States of America, which is travelled by thousands of vehicles daily. In an effort to expedite truck traffic through this border crossing the installation of a Pre-Arrival Readiness Evaluation (PARE 3.0) system is necessary to create an area to pre-scan all trucks prior to their crossing.
With respect to the project that Rankin has completed, some of the major items that Rankin was responsible for included: concrete foundations, concrete walls, concrete columns, flatworks, concrete paving, asphalt paving, structural steel framework and canopy.
During the completion of the project, there was a requirement for electrical vaults decommissioning and subsequent removal of existing transformers. In order to facilitate the removal of these structures, PCB testing was completed to ensure that proper disposal was completed in accordance with the Government Regulations.
