What will my role be?

The Payroll & Equipment Clerk role ensures payroll is processed accurately and on time while maintaining organized records.

As a Payroll & Equipment Clerk you will:

  • Enter and maintain employee payroll data in company systems.
  • Review and verify timesheets, payroll summaries, and related documentation for accuracy.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records for payroll and employee information.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll documentation and reports.
  • Track and enter employee hours, leave records, and payroll adjustments as directed.
  • Support management and accounting staff with data entry and record updates.
  • Assist with preparation, filing, and distribution of internal reports and correspondence.
  • Respond to routine administrative and payroll-related inquiries from staff.
  • Perform general office administrative duties including filing, document control, and record management; and assisting other departments.

What we’re looking for!

Are you a collaborative and driven individual with:

  • Complete of post-secondary Accounting or Business Administration program or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Construction Industry experience is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Accounting software knowledge is an asset.
  • Payroll experience is an asset.
  • Experience working with Jonas Software.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information with professionalism and discretion.
