Excavation & Backfill
We complete the excavation and backfilling of building structures through a controlled and methodical process. Excavation is carried out to the specified depths and dimensions, with careful attention to achieving the required grades and elevations. Once the subgrade is prepared, internal servicing such as underground utilities, drainage, and conduits are placed and aligned according to design requirements. Backfilling then follows in compacted lifts, using approved materials to provide stability and protection around the installed services and foundation. Throughout the process, grades are continually monitored and verified to ensure accuracy and long-term performance of the structure.
Site Servicing
We complete site servicing for new developments by installing underground infrastructure that connects the project to municipal systems. This includes water, storm, and sanitary services, which are carefully excavated, laid out, and installed to meet design specifications and municipal standards. Tie-ins to existing municipal services are performed with precision to ensure proper flow and function, while service lines are extended and carried to the building footprint for seamless integration. All installations are completed with proper bedding, backfilling, and compaction to provide long-term durability and reliable performance of the servicing network.
Flatworks & Hardscapes
We complete concrete flatworks and hardscapes within a development by constructing durable surfaces that support both functionality and aesthetics around new building construction. This includes sidewalks, curbs, walkways, and exterior slabs, all installed to precise grades and alignments to ensure proper drainage and accessibility. Formwork and reinforcing are placed to meet design requirements, followed by the placement, finishing, and curing of concrete to achieve a high-quality surface. Hardscape features such as patios, decorative paving, and landscaped edges are integrated seamlessly, providing long-lasting, low-maintenance surfaces that enhance the overall usability and appearance of the site.

GO Station Precinct Redevelopment Project
Rankin Construction was contracted by the Region of Niagara to complete the GO Station Redevelopment project in the Western Hill district of St. Catharines, ON.
This project is a culmination of four different projects including the removal of the existing CN Rail bridge, reconstruction of a new bridge structure, construction of a round-about and access roadways into the GO Station, and reconstruction of the GO Station parking lot.
