Royal Port is a contemporary luxury condominium located on the picturesque Lake Ontario in Port Dalhouse, ON. The building was developed with 90,000ft² mixed-use residential and commercial space, including a 6,000ft² commercial restaurant and 51 residential units. Equipped with 40,000ft² of underground parking garage, the facility provides residence with all amenities in a crowded downtown core.

The project was able to achieve a 30% reduction in energy and greenhouse gas emissions from Ontario Building Code (OBC) standards by constructing the building with boilers, chillers and ERV units on the roof.

As construction managers, Rankin subcontracted all specialty trades for the build, while self-performing various aspects. Demolition of the existing buildings, building excavation, pile-driving for foundation support, foundation and building services, underground infrastructure, commissioning and testing, and all associated site works were completed by Rankin.

Construction of the building concluded in the Summer of 2022, with interim occupancy being achieved through and into the Fall. Final completion and complete occupancy was achieved by November 2022.
